ENVITEC S.A. has a significant know-how and a great experience as far as designing, construction and operation of environmental projects are concerned. It performs in Greece as well as abroad, executing successfully major projects in the Public and Private sector. In its course of action ENVITEC S.A. has proceeded to significant investments in the sectors of technology and human resources. More specifically ENVITEC undertakes the study and construction of Plants concerning Domestic Sewages Treatment, Wastewater Treatment and Solid Waste Treatment, Biotechnological applications, Energy Production from Renewable Sources (Biomass-Biogas-Aeolic Energy).
ENVITEC is the leader constructing company of the first three Mechanical Biological Treatment Plants (MBT) of municipal waste in Greece: West Attica in Athens, Prefecture of Chania in Crete, Municipality of Kalamata. The project of W. Attica is one of the bigger ones in Europe in the field of the municipal solid wastes management. It concerns the complete solution for municipal solid wastes treatment and disposal. Products: Fuel / RDF, vegetation soil / Compost, ferrous and aluminum materials. The Recycling and Composting Plant and Sanitary Landfield for Chania Prefecture, was the base for the definitive solution of the waste management at Prefecture of Chania in Crete. ENVITEC is also performing the environmental remidiation of Kouroupitos gorge.
ENVITEC S.A, with the use and exploitation of new technologies, applies the new System of Treatment of Sewages and Production of Water of irrigation BioBlock® suitable for the management of domestic, agricultural and organic industrial sewages. This patented product has a very high output, minimal consumption of energy, small functional cost, it is closed and occupies very small space.
The company develops common activities with organizations of Municipal Authorities for the construction and operation / management of projects in the above mentioned sectors, cooperating with Banks as well. The company carries out complete projects regarding Energy production from Renewable Sources, such as utilization of biogas, biomass and Aeolic Energy.
BioBlock® is a compact system of biological treatment, accomplishing the requirements of sewage treatment from small settlements and hotels up to big Municipalities and industrial applications. The design and the development of BioBlock® were supported to the long-lasting experience of ENVITEC S.A. in the sector of wastewater treatment. The target of the new system is the confrontation of problems that are presented in the conventional sewage treatment plants and mainly the significant reduction of operation cost as well as the production of high quality of irrigation water for reuse in rural regions.
BioBlock® combines the principles of activated sludge and fluidized bed systems. The removal of organic pollutants is occurring simultaneously with the removal of nitrogen and phosphor resulting to the elimi-nation of eutrophication in the receiver. This makes BioBlock® the ideal solution particularly where the receiver is characterized as "sensitive" (lakes, rivers or streams with varied flow). BioBlock® is easily adapted in installation conditions keeping the high performance treatment. It is the best solution where the available installation area is limited, or there are reactions of social acceptance for its installation.

Municipal Wastewater Biological Treatment Reactor designed to service communities of 5.000 - 100.000 equivalent population. The system is applicable in specially designed oxidation ditches equipped with surface aerators. Patent of the Dutch Company DHV Water.
Low revolution aerated cylindrical reactor (designed by ENVITEC S.A.) specially designed for the rapid composting of MSW organics. In the reactor the feed undergoes a series of physical and biochemical processes that lead to a product of reduced size, and a fully grown biomass in the substrate for the successful composting of the product downstream.
Automated turning machine, designed by ENVITEC S.A. & I.U.T. Austria for the accurate turning and composting of biodegradable material under forced aeration. The machine comes fully automated with all the necessary hydraulics and electronics, equipped with a cylindrical digger and a conveyor belt carrier capable of delivering a variable height of widrow as needed.
Compostar® technology is an aerobic biological treatment facility (composting facility) which stabilized organic biodegradable fraction (source separated organic fraction from municipal solid waste, livestock etc) and produces a high quality compost.
Compostar® is a fully automated composting process which takes place inside closed reactor-tanks.In Compostar® the composting of the material is achieved by maintaining the biomass in the appropriate conditions of temperature and moisture, through mechanical stirring and aeration. The stirring of the material is achieved with the use of augers (screws) suspended on a travelling bridge.
The capacity of Compostar® is more than 10.000 tons per year. ENVITEC S.A. provides a turnkey solution for a composting unit which involves system, compost refinery system and odor abatement system.
Industrial and agricultural wastewater treatment unit producing fully treated and disinfected water ready for use, as well as recovering useful by-products contained in the wastewater.
