The total amount of the investment amounts to 36.2 million euros and the duration of the contract is 27 years, of which 22 months relate to the construction period.

The project includes the construction, management, operation and maintenance of the Waste Processing Unit, with a capacity of 63,000 tpa, which will manage all the Municipal Mixed Waste of the Prefecture of Serres. With the method of mechanical sorting and biological treatment, metals, plastics, paper and glass will be recovered, while a soil conditioner will be produced for use in restorations, suburban green, etc. The project fully complies with European and Greek environmental legislation and has approved environmental conditions, the announcement said.

The contractor is the consortium of the companies "ARCHIRODON GROUP NV", "INTPAKOM CONSTRUCTIONS SA" and "ENVITEC SA".
